New Harmony Practitioners
“As we accompany individuals on their journey of healing, it is not just our medical knowledge, but the breadth and depth of our experience in life, our global consciousness, that makes the difference." Ra’ufa Clark
WHAT THESE QUALIFICATIONS MEAN:
Bryn and Ra’ufa Clark are Diplomates of Oriental Medicine, the widest scope of certified practice a Licensed Acupuncturist can have in the US. This means that after obtaining a Clinical Master’s degree in Acupuncture and equivalent Chinese Herbology training, they have passed rigorous Board exams administered by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
In order to obtain the Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (Dipl.OM), Practitioners must be certified in the individual fields of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology, and have documented competence in biomedicine (Western medicine), dietary therapeutics, Asian bodywork/traditional Asian physical therapies, traditional movement therapies (Qi Gong/Tai Chi), lifestyle education, and/or in some cases, meditation.

"Diplomates of Oriental Medicine can offer clients so much more than a single modality of care," explains Ra'ufa Clark. "Diagnosis and treatment options become multi-factorial, allowing healing services to meet the unique needs of each client. That is the essence of New Harmony."
