Cultivating Authentic Foundations in Mindfulness

The practice of Mindfulness is a profound path of self realization that can lead to a complete sense of inner peace and fulfillment. While based in the 2500 year old Buddhist tradition, modern science is finding a keen interest in researching mindfulness meditation in order to understand how the mind works and also understand what methods people can use to cultivate a healthier and happier mind. With this interest and research many people are now turning to the practice of mindfulness meditation in the hopes of alleviating their stress and anxieties.

While there are of lots of people who are interested in meditation, many of them end up confused or discouraged when they first begin meditating because they didn’t have a good foundation or understanding that helps supports their practice. While the form of the practice is fairly simple and straight forward, progress depends a lot on the depth and richness of our understanding. The purpose and focus of this series is to provide a clear and comprehensive framework towards understanding and building your own practice that is based on theory, experience, and traditional wisdom.

In this series we will…

  • Gain a clear understanding of what meditation is and what mediation isn’t.

  • Learn the common mistakes people make when they first begin studying and practicing meditation.

  • Gain a comprehensive overview and learn about the multiple types of meditation practices that one trains in as part of their overall practice in mindfulness.

  • Learn easy to follow steps on how to meditation (Attitude, Attention, Assessment, Awareness)

  • Learn to build our own practice at home that is both practical and sustainable
