Bryn also organized the Traditional Medicines Congress which drafted federal legislation proposing a third “Traditional Medicines” category for the FDA to provide oversight for licensed practitioners for herbal medicinals like Ma Huang/ephedra. As Chair of the NCCAOM Board of Directors, Bryn worked with the American Society for the Association of Executives to bring best practices for association management to the NCCAOM, so future chairs could incorporate that work.
